Difficult to work with, lots of surprises at your expense, and hidden fees. They actually threaten financial consequences for negative reviews. Save yourself lots of headaches and find another venue for your special day.

We worked with Jessica and our big day was exactly as we hoped it would be… she even let us get craft beer added to our open bar since we wanted to do a brewery themed wedding. She was great with helping us manage all our details since we were out of state and could only make it into appointments over major holidays. They do have several rules but as did every venue we scouted out. We had a grand old time and our guest were blown away by the venues esthetics. We live in Chicago and work in real estate (aka very picky on buildings/venues) and to have our city friends comment on how awesome a venue in small town Goshen was meant a lot. We found that the venue could comfortably hold our invitees and we were very impressed with the dinner, cocktail and late night food we had!! Note we rented out the entire 3rd floor, had food all night and did top tier open bar. Only things that may disappoint some is the top tier bar is not top shelf (think Absolute not Grey Goose or Belvedere) (and Jim Beam not Woodford Reserve) also only 2 draft beers on tap due to size of bar. And no outdoor space/patio off the event space but to be expected with an old factory. Otherwise the space, food and employees were phenomenal!

Such a beautiful wedding venue! Hardly had to decorate at all because the building is pretty enough on its own. The food was FANTASTIC and Jessica and Gwen were so easy to work with. I would have my wedding here a million times over if I could.

We had a wonderful experience with Bread & Chocolate. Jessica was great to work with throughout the planning process. Everyone was so organized and I did not have to worry about anything from them at all. Beautiful venue, delicious food, wonderful staff. Highly recommend!

Had a great experience with everyone at Bread & Chocolate! The venue is beautiful, but the staff were so helpful throughout the whole process. We’re from out of town, so they did a great job working around our schedule for our meetings. The day of the wedding was flawless, the food was perfect, and everything went as planned. Thank you all!

Bread and Chocolate sold me on the one-stop-shop for our wedding: ceremony, reception, food, drinks, and the looks. We had our wedding ceremony, appetizers, and reception there. It was not only easy for us, but for our guests too. Our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had, the staff was amazing and accommodated to all of our needs, and the old building feel made the experience that much better. It was one of the best decisions we made for our day. It was perfect! You should definitely book your wedding through Bread and Chocolate!

I wrote a review on their other page as well, but this was the best decision regarding my wedding. It was a one-stop-shop for everything. The space is gorgeous, the staff was so nice and the food was amazing.

We were so happy to find Bread & Choclate in Goshen. The rooms are so beautiful, there isn’t much additional decorating needed. The old brick walls and wooden floors madd a very old-fashioned, vintage-feel to any event. We loved the setting, and then the food! We were told my several guests that it was the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. You must try their au gratin potatoes!

Bread & Chocolate is managing the space at the Old Bag Factory and is doing a fantastic job. They were so willing to work with us regarding our custom menu and developing a whole new type of floor plan. We had such wonderful service from Trish, Tia and Nadine! Our guests continue to rave about the food and I’m so happy the food was something memorable about our wedding. I would highly recommend having Bread & Chocolate for anyone’s wedding!

I choose Bread and Chocolate because I have seen their work and service. They were excellent with handling my reception. The building is beautiful and full of rich history. Beware of the consultant though. She comes off snobish, but she does mean well. Any major decision she makes, ask her to talk to the manager about it. They have a strict policy about the decorations, rightfully so. I described my centerpieces to the consultant and she assured me they were fine. I asked her 3 different times and so did my mother. She kept telling me they were fine. On the day before the wedding, when I was decorating, the manager came up to me and told me I couldn’t have a certain decoration with my centerpiece. The consultant was standing right there and did not apologize to me. She said nothing. It was so unprofessional. Another one of their employees offered her suggestions about the issue and we came up with something else. At the end of the day it turned out fine, but it would have been nice to hear an apology from the consultant who was wrong. Other than that, the food was great and the servers where wonderful and friendly. It turned out just fine.

The owner, Nadine, did an OUTSTANDING job with our wedding. The food was fabulous, the dessert buffet was awesome, and the staff members were great! Guests are STILL raving about how wonderful the food was! Beautiful venue! She works well with you in planning the perfect day!!

On the first consultation, they offered us a folder that had everything listed for us such as food selections, bar options, equipment they had to use, linens, along with prices for all of the above. This helped us make our decision with how organized things were so I knew the day-of details would be perfect. I would also recommend the food which tasted great!
